Resit and Deferred Assessments

Resit & Deferred Assessments

Assessment tasks will be posted on Learning Space in the relevant module area under the title 'Resit / Deferred Work'.

Students requiring clarification on resit / deferred work should contact the named member of staff as soon as possible by no later than Wednesday 25th July 2017 as academic staff will be available until this date.

Unless otherwise specified, re-sit/deferred coursework must be submitted in the same way as the original work (ie. by Turnitin or via the Faculty Office). The appropriate submission method and time of submission will be specified on the resit/deferred work task sheet on LS.

The deadline date for submission of resit/deferred assessments is Tuesday 15th August 2016.

Resit & Deferred Exams

Students recommended to take a resit exam will be notified of this via their Online Results web page in July 2016.

Resit Exams will take place between 15th and 19th August 2016.

The Resit Examination Timetable will be published on Learning Space during the first week of August.

Students will be sent an  email to their student e-mail account to confirm when the Exam Timetable is available.

Students with additional arrangements in place will be sent a separate email confirming the details of alternative rooms, start times etc.

Please email exams@marjon.ac.uk with any queries on the Resit Exams.

Resit Fees

Payment of resit fees are required for re-assessment.  Resit Fees will be specified on the Assessments Results Online web page in July 2016.

In 2015-16 resit fees are £45 per failed module of any level or value, £55 per week for resit Teaching Practices and £175 for re-submission of an MA/MEd/MSc dissertation or thesis.  Undergraduate Dissertations count as two modules so the resit fee is 2 x £45 for undergraduate students.

Students should pay resit fees online via the green Pay Fees button at the bottom of their Results web page.  Resit fees should be paid by no later than Monday 15th August 2017.

Please note that any unpaid tuition fees or library fines etc will prevent students from registering for the next year of their programme or attending Graduation.

All debts must be settled by the end of August each year.

The University Finance office is open 9-4.30 Monday to Friday.  Please contact the Finance department on 01752 636805 with any queries.
