What to do if you have been excluded - Re-take the year or Re-take Modules
Students should refer to the Student Regulations Framework - Section 6 for full details.
If students fail more than 50% of the credits for the year, they will be excluded by the Progression & Award Board. This means students are not eligible to take re-sits and cannot continue on their current programme of study.
Students that have passed 50% of the credits for the stage, but have failed modules after a re-sit attempt may be required to transfer to a part time mode of attendance and re-take the failed modules before progressing to the next stage the following September.
Students who are excluded in the 2017-18 academic year may apply to re-take the year or transfer to a part time route and re-take failed modules.
Re-take forms are available from the Registry pages on Learning Space. They are also available from Student Support (HDC Building). Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any queries.
Re-take forms must be fully completed with signatures before they are returned to Registry Services for processing.
Students should contact Student Support to discuss the process and the financial implications.
Students should be aware that they will be required to pay the continuing student tuition fees (pro rata) for their re-taken modules.
Full attendance is normally required and students must take all of the assessments again as if for the first time - no marks can be carried over.
The module mark will be capped at the pass mark - 40% for undergraduate and 50% for postgraduate modules.
