Welcome to Registry Services at Plymouth Marjon University. Registry Services works closely with our Academic Schools and other University services to support students through their studies from registration to graduation. We are responsible for the following areas – please click for more information:
Results and Resits - Information relating to the publication of results and arrangements for resits and deferred work
Student Forms - Forms which students may need to complete relating to student status or module choices
You must ensure you are registered for modules in order to sit the examination, please check your module registration by using Learning Space or contact firstname.lastname@example.org as a matter of urgency if you have any queries.
The Start Times published on the timetable are just that - Start Times. Please ensure you arrive at your examination room with plenty of time to spare so that you can find your allocated seat and settle yourself before the start of the examination.
You must bring your Marjon Library card or photographic identification with you to all your examinations and place it on your desk so that it is clearly visible to the invigilators. If you cannot find your seat ask an invigilator to help you. It is most important that you check you are sitting at the correctly numbered desk, as you will be asked to write your student number on your answer booklet.
Your name must not be entered on any of your answer booklets so that your answers can be anonymously marked.
You must follow the instructions for the Invigilator throughout the assessment
No unauthorised materials should be taken into the examinations room
Ensure all electronic devices, including mobile phones, smart watches, etc. are switched off and left in your bag
All bags and coats should be placed at the rear or side of the exam room. Please avoid bringing valuable items in to the exam room
Pencil cases and drinking bottles should be clear plastic (labels must be removed)
Do not open the Question Paper until you are instructed to do so
Once the exam has started, any student wishing to leave their seat must raise their hand and wait for the invigilator
No examination material, including question papers, answer paper or rough work, should be taken from the examination room
You can find further detailed Information for Candidates regarding Examination Arrangements in Section 3 of the Student Regulations Framework (for the current academic year). You are advised to read it carefully before attending any examinations.
Additional Arrangements/Extra Time
If you believe that you require Additional Arrangements (for medical or other valid reasons) that have not already been confirmed you should contact Student Support as soon as possible. Your requirements together with relevant evidence will be discussed in a confidential setting and you will then complete a 'Requests for Additional Arrangements'.
Any such requests need to be received by Registry at least two weeks before an exam or in-class test is taking place. If arrangements cannot be made in time then students can apply for Extenuating Circumstances to defer the assessment to a later period.
Extenuating Circumstances for Exams
For more information about extenuating circumstances, please click here.
Following an exam, marks are published within the specified marking period on the respective module page on Learning Space. For more information, please contact StudentAdmin@marjon.ac.uk
Confirmed module marks will be published at the end of each academic year and following the Progression & Award Board via Learning Space.
Dates for the publication of confirmed results can be found on the relevant Assessment Calendar in Important Dates.
